Newcastle Knights star Yasmin Clydsdale and Sydney Roosters captain Isabelle Kelly are calling on all footy fans to be part of history at the first ever NRLW Magic Round in Newcastle.

The NRLW stars were joined at McDonald Jones Stadium on Wednesday alongside Minister for Regional NSW Tara Moriarty, Member for Newcastle Tim Crakanthorp and Councillor Peta Winney-Baartz to announce two-day passes are officially on sale for the landmark event.
The weekend of August 2-3 will showcase the best of women's rugby league, with all 12 NRLW teams competing at the home of major events in Newcastle at McDonald Jones Stadium.
The weekend promises to deliver a festival of football never seen before in Newcastle. The precinct and city streets will come alive with Magic Round activations, live entertainment, there will be meet and greets for fans and world-class rugby league.
Fans can secure their place at this historic event with two-day passes which are available from 10am Wednesday 2 April for club members and from 10am Thursday 3 April for the general public. Single-day passes are available from Thursday 17 April.
Newcastle has a track record of smashing attendance records, with over 25,000 fans on hand at last year’s first ever State of Origin game played at McDonald Jones Stadium.
NRLW Magic Round will be held across two days with Saturday 2 August featuring three games:
- Gold Coast Titans v Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs,
- Wests Tigers v Sydney Roosters and
- Brisbane Broncos v Cronulla Sharks.
Sunday 3 August will see another triple header featuring:
- North Queensland Cowboys v New Zealand Warriors,
- Newcastle Knights v Canberra Raiders and
- Parramatta Eels v St George Illawarra Dragons.
